An event concerned with tackling local flooding issues
Thursday, 26th January 2023
• WITH the National Flood Forum we’ve organised an informal event about tackling local flooding issues in the South Hampstead / Kilburn Priory area.
It’s on Sunday February 5 from 2pm to 4pm.
Residents and local businesses are invited to come along to find more out about:
— protecting their properties from flooding;
— what the South Hampstead Flood Action Group has been doing;
— Thames Water’s free flood prevention surveys;
— what Thames Water and Camden Council are planning to do to reduce the local flood risk;
— why it’s a good idea to “depave” front gardens and to install water butts, and how to do it; and
— other key issues, such as insurance cover.
The venue is the Likewise Community Centre (the old Crossfield Centre or Hub) at 8 Fairhazel Gardens, NW6 3SG. Tea and biscuits will be provided.
Please tell your friends and neighbours and encourage them to come too. We need everyone’s support so that together we can develop an effective “Community Flood Plan”.
