An all-Labour council would be disastrous for any opposing inappropriate development

• IN the run-up to the elections, should not the devastation of the heart of Swiss Cottage, as a result of the thoughtless Construction Management Plan for the unwelcome 100 Avenue Road skyscraper be a high priority issue for candidates?

This, especially at a time when some of the same roads will be severely affected by the disruptive two-year estimated programme of safety works to the Chalcots estate (just over 10 years after Camden Council’s £150million “fiasco” refurbishment).

So far the Conservative members in our wards seem to be the only party to have mentioned 100 Avenue Road in their flyers, and have been the ones supporting the campaign from the beginning. This is why I’ll be voting Conservative, even though I am a member of the Labour Party.

For the community, an all-Labour council would be disastrous for any opposition to inappropriate development, as only the council’s voice would be heard. Frankly, who puts what in whose rubbish bin is pants by comparison.
