THE Gunn Slingers made it clear that Blackstock Road isn’t big enough for two teams on Monday when they beat Bank of Friendship in Division Two of the Chalk Farm Pool League.

Pot-shot Tonda Benge fired the Gunn Slingers to a storming 7-2 victory over their Highbury rivals.

The American sharp-shooter, who’s played the green baize in Chicago and San Francisco, won her singles match and then teamed up with Dave Smith to sink the black in the doubles showdown.

In Division One, reigning champions Sir Robert Peel followed up their 9-0 victory on the opening day of the season with an 8-1 win over POW Dynamos.

Meanwhile one of the games of the night saw the King’s Cross Hurricanes pocket a narrow 5-4 victory over stablemates the King’s Cross Hawks.
