Ambitious Town ready to target title
Positive signs as Camden Town WFC prepare for big kick-off
Friday, 17th July — By Steve Barnett

WITH their focus firmly fixed on a triumphant title charge ahead of the upcoming campaign, even pre-season holds extra significance for the players from Camden Town WFC.
And so far all the signs are positive for Darren Smith’s ambitious squad as they prepare for next month’s big kick-off in Division One North of the London & South East Regional League.
On Sunday two goals from Shenice Dyer, along with efforts from Deanne Badly and Sanaa Williams, saw Town net a commanding 4-0 win over Croydon Athletic.
It follows an impressive 3-3 draw in their opening friendly away to Ascot United, a club that plays two divisions above Town in the National League. Town’s hard work behind the scenes is well underway, too, with the club preparing to host a special “Panel on the Pitch” evening at the Maurice Rebak Stadium in North Finchley on Wednesday, July 29.
Panelists will discuss investing in the future of sport, from the growth of women’s football to the commercial opportunities shaping the next generation of clubs, athletes, supporters, and founders.
