All-rounder duo seal first Hampstead win

BIG knocks from James Cameron and Ragheb Aga helped Hampstead pick up their first win of the season on Saturday in Division One of the Middlesex County Cricket League.

Taking on Finchley at Lymington Road in West Hampstead, Cameron hit 83 off 104 balls, including eight fours and a six, while Aga smashed eight fours and two sixes on his way to notching up 71 off 76 balls.

Their combined efforts helped hosts Hampstead reach 277-9 off 60 overs before declaring.

Cameron and Aga were just as devastating with the ball as they picked up three wickets each.

Steve Clark also took three wickets as Finchley were bowled out for 105 within 34 overs to hand Hampstead convincing victory by 172 runs.

n In Division Two, John Mills scored 100 not out as North Middlesex beat Ickenham by 156 runs on Saturday.

Sam Webber and Tom Nicoll chipped in with 60 and 50 runs respectively as North Midd hit 291-6 off 46 overs.

It was Webber and Nicoll who made sure Ickenham didn’t get anywhere near their target. Webber took 3-32, while Nicoll took 3-47 as the hosts were bowled out for 135.
