• WHILE we totally agree with the views expressed by Fran Heron (No justice for Somers Town people, Letters, February 23), we would to point out that she omitted to mention the fact that generations of housing association tenants also contributed (via the old local rates and the current council tax and other revenue streams, etc) to the environmental and cultural assets of Somers Town.

We believe it will take the combined strengths and determination of all residents, that is, housing association and council tenants, leaseholders and private renters, in ongoing opposition to the proposed “Trump Tower” and other disruptive development projects (presumably funded via opaque financing) that are about to be imposed on the long-suffering, economically and socially deprived people of Somers Town.
