All I wanted were some replacement food caddy liner bags

• I AM sure that there are others, like myself, who are totally confused by Camden Council’s very unfriendly website.

It is just as confusing as the receptionists at our new state-of-the-art town hall, they are as much use as a bar of soap in a desert.

My grouse is a simple one. All I want are some replacement food caddy liner bags. I used to be able to order them online. They are still listed under recycling. However if you want replacements there is no facility to reorder.

I went to the new town hall where the on-duty receptionists, after finishing their private conversation, eventually deigned to address my query and told me that there was a contact me box on the page. There’s no such thing. I am still waiting two months after my first request.

I am a fan of recycling. If Camden are following the example of Lambeth Council and making their residents buy these bags from supermarkets than I – as an old age pensioner living on pension credits – will resort back to throwing my food waste back into the general rubbish bins.

How about recycling our waste cooking oils and fats. What are we supposed to do with them?
