All dressed up and nowhere to go…

• WE really do need to sort out the problem of toilets if we are to get visitors back to Camden Town.
On a mid-afternoon journey home, I came across eight well-presented undergraduates, all hoping for a toilet and looking more and more disconsolate at being refused access.
I pointed them in the direction of a café I knew in Parkway which has a more laissez-faire attitude to these matters. I suggested that for the price of two or three coffees they might get to use “the facilities”.
I hope they were successful. I wonder how many other visitors to Camden go home with tales of a sad experience in the borough. Not, I would think, what the traders want at this time.
