Air quality needs to be checked in hospitals

• PURELY by chance I caught a public service announcement issued by our benighted government at 3pm on BBC1 TV, hardly prime time, extolling the virtues of air circulation for folks entertaining at home.

I wonder if this cautionary advice extends to public transport, shops, offices, restaurants, bars, hotels, even hospitals, where the virus has tragically spread?

It has long been a real concern of mine having worked with property development in London for decades as to how safe they really are to return to? This flows from being hospitalised for two months in 2006.

My Victorian ward, with high ceilings, was fine whereas the modern wings, with cramped conditions, with no natural ventilation, were closed due to infections. This issue should be a real concern to your readers.

And if I was still at work I would insist on a thorough, independent, safety audit, including air con ducting etc, being undertaken before returning to the grindstone!
