• I TAKE the 393 bus three or four times a week but have found the service absolutely dreadful. I have frequently waited over 40 minutes for a bus, then proverbially two arrive within minutes of each other.

An elderly man was hanging on to the fence at the bus stop on Prince of Wales Road last week, almost in tears as he was missing a hospital appointment and standing was so difficult for him.

I said I would walk up to the stop in the Kentish Town High Street with him as there were seats there; but he said no he would just hang on. Literally.

Now three stop are closed, Talacre, Prince of Wales and post office, so it’s a very long walk for anyone elderly or with mobility issues. It can’t be that difficult to organise a temporary stop somewhere on this route.

Yet again Kentish Town is chaos as they are digging up the road. It’s just a disgrace that for the last year we have had to put up with almost constant road works, a lousy bus service, and almost continuous polluting traffic jams; and very soon no tube.
