AFCs’ five high flyer

After months of waiting the new season kicked off for the biggest hot-shot youth leagues in town.

Camden & Islington Midweek Youth League

Under-12s Division

AFC opened their account at Market Road in style on Friday with a five-star performance against St Pancras. Abdi Sharif struck twice, while Mohammed Merzouki, Chuka Okoye and Bunja Conteh were also all on target in a resounding 5-0 win.

Under-13s Division

HOTSHOT Ethan Stevens scored two minutes from time to earn AC United Spartans a 1-0 victory over Crown and Manor on Monday.

Camden & Regent’s Park Youth League

Under-10s Division

KENTISH Town were rewarded for their free-flowing football on the opening day of the season on Saturday with a 6-1 win over Just Play. Jayden Bailey bagged a brace while Corey Molloy, Trae McCarthy, Reece McKenzie and Julio Fresneda all grabbed a goal each.

Under-14s A Division

JORDAN Monteiro scored a late winner as Kentish Town beat Al Ansar 3-2 in a thriller at Regent’s Park. Louis Noel gave Town the lead when he converted  Sakaria Maha­moud’s excellent through ball. Al Ansar fought back to take a 2-1 lead but Kassim Omar equalised with an unstoppable 30-yard free kick. Then Monteiro fired in from close range.
