ITV’s talent show judge Adam Lambert will be on stage himself later – with a show planned for Koko in Camden Town.

The singer, who is on the panel for Saturday night TV show Starstruck, is launching his fifth album, a collection of covers called High Drama, with a one-off show

The concert at the venue in Camden High Street – which reopened last year after a devastating blaze – is sold out but a paid-for livestream service has been set up for people to watch online.

His new works include a cover of Bonnie Tyler’s Holding Out For A Hero.

Lambert is known for performing with Queen, but rose to fame on the US talent show American Idol. He was a runner-up on the show.

He established the non-profit Feel Something Foundation in late 2019, as a cornerstone of his continued commitment to philanthropy and activism in the areas of LGBTQ+ and human rights.  The foundation is dedicated to providing support to organisations and projects that have a direct and significant impact on the LGBTQ+ community, with a specific emphasis on areas such as education, mental health, suicide prevention, homelessness, and the arts.

KoKo was formerly called the Camden Palace and the Music Machine.
