• A LABOUR government would create GB Energy, a publicly-owned clean energy company, as a first step towards achieving net-zero carbon emissions as soon as possible.

Not only would this create half-a-million new skilled jobs in the green industries of the future but it will also cut energy bills ,which have sky-rocketed under the Tories, and deliver energy security for the United Kingdom.

Rishi Sunak has given up on the fight against climate change. A Labour government would instead make the UK a clean energy superpower and lead the world in the fight against climate change.

We will also invest an additional £6.6billion to upgrade five million homes with insulation, solar panels and low carbon heating, to help conserve energy and bring down bills.

It is also vital that we undo the damage the Conservatives have done to our natural environment over the last 14 years, including the scandal of our coasts, rivers, and lakes being polluted by illegal sewage dumping.

Labour would force water companies to clean this up and ensure we have proper environmental protections to protect our wildlife and natural environment.

A vote for me on July 4 is a vote to protect our planet.
