• THE idea of banning cars from Camden’s Roads for three months of the year beggars belief, (Bid to close all Camden roads to cars for three months every year, October 10).

I subscribe to a long-range weather forecast called Weatheraction. It is quite reliable. It is based on the premise that climate change is a natural phenomenon driven by the sun’s activities.

The current concerns about London air are based on a report that is flawed. It does not take into account humans’ ability to adapt to their environment.

Eskimos live in the poles and nomads in the desert. Swap them over and they would probably drop dead.

The life expectancy of Londoners is actually longer than people who live in Scotland where the air is cleaner. This is because there are so many factors involved in life expectancy.

Petrol is such a versatile fuel it is shocking that so much is wasted with engines at idle in traffic jams. The move to dual fuel electrical vehicles will eventually happen but there is no need for such draconian action.
