A suggestion for housing Ukrainian refugees

‘An opportunity for Russians to assist their Ukrainian neighbours’
• REGARDING the housing of Ukrainian refugees in the borough, perhaps they can be given accommodation in those properties here which appear to be owned by extremely wealthy Russians.
I have no idea whether or not any of them are the “oligarchs” (whose assets the government proposes to seize) but the enormous size of these homes suggests that there would be sufficient room in which refugees could stay.
I’m not suggesting that the current occupants should move out; everyone needs somewhere to live and their houses could easily be shared.
For those Russians who aren’t “oligarchs”, I suggest that this would provide an opportunity to assist their Ukrainian neighbours, like many of their compatriots in Russia itself would like to do but can’t.
For those who are, it would surely be only fitting that those who are beneficiaries of the current Russian regime should provide assistance to those who are not.
