A reminder for Sir Keir Starmer on his immigration pledge
Thursday, 10th November 2022

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer
• AS a Holborn and St Pancras Labour Party member I recognise the immense contribution people from all over the world have made to our National Health Service.
I welcome the continued value that immigration can bring to the operation and delivery of services in the NHS.
It is disrespectful to all workers, from around the world, who have literally given their lives to the keep the NHS working, to say “I think we are recruiting too many people from overseas into, for example, the health service…”, (Sir Keir Starmer, speaking to BBC Scotland, November 6).
We need to remind the Labour leader of his 10 pledges which included: “Defend migrants’ rights: An immigration system based on compassion and dignity”.
My eternal gratitude to all National Health Service workers.
