A music heritage centre is an excellent idea

• I SUPPORT the idea Jill Furmanovsky discussed for the old police site in Rosslyn Hill, (Photographer calls for music heritage centre in Hampstead police station, January 31).

A plan to make a hub for the arts focused around music-related photography seems to be a great suggestion. Creating a music heritage centre would stimulate exceptional interest.

Music-related photography exhibitions are always popular and yet there is no permanent single place of this type in the UK as far as I know.

Presentations, discussions, workshop, research facilities, and the fostering and support of community projects could actually change people’s lives.

I hope something exciting happens rather than mothballing of a great building or conversion to more luxury flats.

Keep culture alive…
