A broken system for paying bills…

• TWICE on Tuesday I attempted to pay a monthly bill and twice the call was terminated after a couple or so rings went through to an “assistant”.
On Wednesday, 9.10am, a message said: “You can pay a bill from 8am to 5pm.”
At 9.10am I again rang. It said: “Our offices are closed.”
I really think this issue needs rather more attention than it has received from elected members so far. Don’t you?
I’ve asked, asked again, written emails, and pursued the matter, all of which has produced no improvement whatsoever.
Why is it that highly-paid managers in this borough can ignore residents and councillor, and just continue to give residents ever increasing bills?
