A broken front door not urgent?

Thursday, 21st November 2024

• I HAVE had problems with repairs since early October, (Feeling vulnerable and in need of help? Wait for it… November 14).

I was broken into while away, had my door forced open etc and damage was done to the frame and the door.

On my return I contacted Camden and what a performance that was.

After being passed to different places, I managed to get hold of repairs, told them what the problem was and mentioned that I am in my 60s and still working because I need to.

I told them I thought this sort of issue was urgent in my opinion. I was totally wrong.

I have been waiting since October 16 for someone to even come and look. I have an appointment for November 21 but, knowing Camden unreliability, I think it won’t happen.

Things need to improve urgently as the council is meant to have a duty of care to tenants and leaseholders. They have not done so in my case whatsoever, I’ve had no contact from anyone at Camden.
