A DRIVER suffered a suspected heart attack at the wheel of his 4×4 in Mornington Crescent this afternoon.

Roads were cordoned off for over an hour after the stricken driver careered into two other vehicles and ended facing on-coming traffic.

Paramedics performed CPR on the man at the scene and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police officers at the scene so said nobody else was injured in the crash.

The silver Honda CRV, which had been travelling northwards on Hampstead Rd, was left in Harrington Square.

Francis Mostafa said: “They were doing CPR on the man in the middle of the road and then they put him in an ambulance.”

She said she thought there had been a traffic accident, adding: “I always said these roads were dangerous. Everybody drives too fast.”
