5G does not involve the hassle of digging up our streets
Thursday, 10th June 2021
• OUR streets are not being noisily dug up for a “fibre optic 5G” network, (No health and safety measures to be seen!, June 3).
5G is an addition to the cellphone system we have been using since the 1980s (without any sign of the fried brains some people confidently predicted) and one of 5G’s main pluses is that it does not involve the very Victorian hassle of digging up streets to lay copper wires or fibre optic cables.
