MAGIC man Dave Willis was at it again at the weekend as he guided Cobden Athletic to their second successive title in Division One of the Camden Sunday League.

Knowing that only a win against Constitution would see them retain the championship, Cobden put in a five-star showing as two goals from Patrick Jones, and strikes from Steven Bruce, Jason Williams and Charlie Willis wrapped up a convincing  5-1 victory.

Manager Dave, who saw his side finish above Surreal Madrid on goal-difference, said, “We only brought in two additions, one of which ended up being our top goalscorer Steven Bruce.

“I always felt we had the pedigree to retain the title, albeit on goal-difference. It proves that over the season we are the best team in the league. Having also won the Senior Cup, I’d say it’s a nice league and cup double to add to the honours list.”
