The veranda at Swiss Cottage Community Centre

• WHY on Earth does it take Camden months to do even simple bits of work?

One, after three months the veranda at Swiss Cottage Community Centre is just back in action, and half the summer has gone along with a chunk of income for the café.

I trust their rent has been reduced while this work was in progress, or rather not in progress!

Two, the bouncing mat in Swiss Cottage has been out of service for at least three weeks, just as the school holidays started. Why?

And, three, the remnants of damage to the roadside at the Winchester Road / Eton Avenue junction remains a mess after more than half a year.

Each of these jobs would take two workers a couple of days work at most, but all Camden does is erect barriers and goes away.

Why are these jobs not done quickly? And why are our councillors not demanding these works be done?
