Stop this sham of so-called traffic improvement

Thursday, 14th January 2021

• THIS sham of so-called traffic improvement (closure of roads and gridlocking) should be stopped immediately.

It’s causing congestion and emissions to disrupt and get drivers lost and having to travel nose to nose, taking a journey from 25 minutes to an hour; forcing drivers to use more petrol and waiting time; ambulances in particular are delayed and so are police cars and fire engines.

And the cost of the road closures and narrowing should be put to schools, teachers, and community care, where the money would be of more use. Plus, do not allow new drivers up to the age of 25.

I say this as a disabled person who is disgusted with the road conditions as a taxpayer for 35 years.
