THREE people were injured at a construction site in Fitzrovia, where it is believed a workman cut through an electricity cable this morning.

Bourlet Close, off Riding House Street, was closed shortly after 11am.

The London Fire Brigade sent two engines and ten firefighters to the scene, where a building is being refurbished. They said that a small part of the ground floor of the four-storey building had been damaged by fire.

Three men, who suffered burns, were treated at the scene by paramedics.
