F*** list celebrity – Etcetera
SCANDAL and sleaze, you can read all about it in the papers. Who’s in, who’s out. It’s very hard not to take a curious delight in other people’s antics, especially if those people happen to be rich and famous.
Rat Pack Theatre Productions promise to become celebrities in their own right as they present a feisty montage about the slippery slope of stardom and those fame-hungry wannabes still struggling for the limelight.

The play focuses on A-list make-believe celebrity Karl Powers.
Austin he is not, but he is a loud-mouthed, vulgar, coke-snorting monster who wants to be in total control.

It’s 9.25am on a Sunday and Powers is co-presenting a children’s show, ‘Getting up with Danny’, with his old time buddy Danny. But things are getting off to a slow start. However, once Danny has broken through his fluffy kids, TV persona, things start to get moving and so does the play, with the help of Danny’s fitness-obsessed, producer and partner Sam and Powers’ bit on the side, athletic, French camerawoman Andy.
Karl’s personality soon takes over as he persuades Danny to break free of the mould of kids’ television presenting and the eventual results are really hilarious.

The show offered some cracking one-liners and many more sidesplitting cringe worthy episodes.

There were many thought-provoking moments too with references to recent TV-land scandals adding some substance to the laughter.
The audience were treated to a live TV performance from the screen at the back of the stage.

It was like watching a live episode of a raunchy Richard and Judy, making you wonder what happens, when the cameras have stopped rolling.
