MUSEUM WARDERS/CLEANERS REQUIRED
FULL AND PART-TIME

Two full-time warders, one part-time warder and one cleaner/warder required for Sir John Soane’s Museum in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, an outstanding collection in a Grade I listed building. Warders are on duty in an area of the Museum each day. The first priority is security but the job also involves providing information and helping visitors, sales and assisting with cleaning each morning. Applicants must be responsible and courteous: absolute honesty is required (security checks are run before employment is confirmed). Applicants should preferably be aged 40-55 and in excellent health - some lifting and carrying up/down stairs required - warders are on their feet all day. Living locally and ‘handyman’ skills would be an advantage. The Museum is a no smoking area and an equal opportunities employer.

(pay review 1 April 2005); paid overtime opportunities
