| Waiter’s ‘not guilty’
plea to axe killing |
The man accused of an axe
murder in a leafy Swiss Cottage street made a brief appearance
at the Old Bailey.
Waiter Joseph Sheehan, 37, of Belmont Street, Chalk Farm confirmed
his identity and pleaded not guilty to the killing on March
14 of Brian Messitt.
The judge was told that Sheehan has been interviewed and is
still to be questioned by psychiatrists for the prosecution
and the defence. They expect reports should be prepared by
mid-July. Sheehan’s trial will start on September 19. |
