School looks to swipe cards
|
A SCHOOL has applied for permission to install a new swipe card
system at its front gates.
William Ellis School in Highgate Road, Kentish Town, want new gates,
an intercom system and CCTV to be installed.
New mesh security fences to link the boundary of the schools
grounds, which border Parliament Hill fields, are also planned.
The schools new £3m sports hall, due to be completed in
the autumn of 2004 but delayed because of problems with the roof,
is set to be finished some time in the Spring term and will
provide pupils with an in door five-a-side football pitch and gym.
Architects are also proposing work to Acland Burghley School in Tufnell
Park, with plans to floodlight lower courtyard areas currently being
considered at the Town Hall.
