Auditions to star beside Jude Law shrouded in secrecy

A FILM company thought to be behind a new Jude Law movie want people who live and work in Camden to help them out.
But producers scouring the borough for extras are shrouding open auditions in secrecy – hoping to keep the identity of the film a mystery.
The New Journal understands they are working on Breaking And Entering, a film set in Camden Town and King’s Cross and directed by Hampstead Oscar winner Anthony Minghella.
Law (pictured) is due to star as an architect whose life changes when he comes into contact with a thief. The film company deliberately withheld the movie’s name and stars in its advert which calls for extras, which producers asked Camden Council to forward to the New Journal. A Town Hall press official said: “We can’t tell you what the film is.”
Open auditions are tonight (Thursday) from 6pm to 9pm at St Martin’s Community Centre in Carol Street, Camden Town, and Primrose Hill Community Centre in Fitzroy Road, Primrose Hill, tomorrow (Friday) between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
A statement released by the producers said: “A contemporary feature film is shooting from late May to late July needs extras. If you’re available and interested, then come along and take part in a quick audition process. The film is based in King’s Cross and Camden and, as it reflects the diversity of the borough, the producers are looking for extras of all ethnic backgrounds. Everyone is welcome to come and audition.”
