Head joins the top 10

Adam Pettitt

HIGHGATE School will get only its 10th head in more than 200 years when Adam Pettitt takes over next year, it was announced on Tuesday.
Mr Pettitt, 39, will replace current head Richard Kennedy next September at the private school. Mr Pettitt is the deputy head at Norwich School, where Admiral Lord Nelson was a former pupil.
He said: “I was particularly attracted to Highgate by its strong academic record and all-round reputation.”
Former Highgate pupils include Home Secretary Charles Clarke.
