Hammer horror

A HAMMER-wielding maniac left a man with a fractured skull and a suspected brain haemorrhage in Bloomsbury on Saturday night.
The apparently unprovoked attack came just before midnight in Tavistock Place as the 26-year-old was walking home with a friend. His attacker came up behind him and hit him over the head with a claw hammer.
A hammer was recovered from the scene.
The victim is at the National Neurological Hospital, where his condition is described as “serious, but stable.”
A youth has been arrested and bailed to return to Holborn police station.
