Mother-and-daughter burial date set

THE funeral of mother and daughter Nicole and Ukleigha Batten-Frogatt, killed at their Somers Town flat, will take place next month in the south London neighbourhood where Ms Batten-Frogatt grew up, it was announced this week, writes Kim Janssen.
The mother and daughter will be buried nearly three months after they were found at their Ossulston Street flat. Police agreed to release the bodies this week after a series of post-mortems.
Friends and neighbours are invited to the service at Balham Baptist Church at 11am on May 27. The burial will be Figgsmarsh Cemetery in London Road, Mitcham, with a reception afterwards at Balham Sports and Social Club in Balham High Street.
Mark Nicholas, 29, who is charged with the murders of Nicole, 33, and Ukleigha, six, is due to appear again at the Old Bailey on May 13.
