Step this way for trip back in time

A GUIDED walk is being staged tonight (Thursday) in Camden Road, Camden Town, as part of the consultation over the possible creation of a conservation area.
Once known as the Tottenham Turnpike, Camden Road is now being dubbed by some as “Camden Broadway” because of the development of the area that is taking hold.
Representatives from Camden Council and English Heritage will join Cantelowes ward Labour councillor Gerry Harrison to retrace the shaping of the area by the old Fleet river, the Regent’s Canal and the arrival of the railways.
The walk, open to the public, sets off from The Old Eagle pub in Royal College Street at 6.30pm.
