Squatters’ fury as police clear offices

ANGRY squatters confronted police who had evicted them from an office building in Camden Town yesterday (Wednesday).
The group of around 10 squatters was removed from Elephant House office block, at the corner of Kentish Town Road and Hawley Crescent in the afternoon. Squatters accused the police of illegally removing them from the premises.
But a policeman at the scene said that the group was “abstracting electricity” – using it without paying – which was an arrestable offence.
