Today’s news is buried treasure

ARCHAEOLOGISTS of the future who want to discover what Camden was like in the early 21st century may get their trowels down to Swiss Cottage.
Young people from Winchester Youth Project have buried a time capsule there, complete with cuttings from the Camden New Journal.
The children chose the articles from their favourite local paper to put in the capsule and buried it last week in the basement of the fast-rising leisure centre and housing scheme at the corner of Finchley and Adelaide roads.
Kim Mabbutt, play development officer at The Winchester Project, said: “The young people filmed a dance performance they had choreographed.
“We created a Winch Hall of Fame in which each child had their photo taken and wrote about themselves, and we created two collages depicting the many events that have taken place in Swiss Cottage in the last few years.”
