Decision day nears for police base plan

A BID to turn a former neighbourhood advice centre into a base for police officers in Camden Town will be decided by councillors next month.
The decision to convert the former headquarters of Camden Town Neighbourhood Advice Centre in Greenland Road was due to be taken by delegated officials in the council’s planning department.
But, after a series of objections, the issue will now be fully discussed by councillors sitting on the development control committee.
The decision is due to be made at a meeting scheduled for March 3 at the Town Hall, where objectors will be able to outline their concerns.
