Murder squad arrests woman after car mows down reveller

Bozidar Misic

MURDER squad detectives last night (Wednesday) arrested a woman in connection with the death of a man mowed down by a car in Swiss Cottage.
The suspect, who is in her 20s, was being held in custody at a police station in Essex by officers investigating the death of Bozidar Misic.
Detectives have previously released three male suspects on bail.
Mr Misic, 29, lost his three-day fight for life at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
He sustained serious head injuries when he was knocked down by a red Vauxhall Corsa in Finchley Road in the early hours of Sunday.
A post mortem at St Pancras Mortuary to find the precise cause of death is due to take place this morning (Thursday).
Mr Misic, from Ealing, had been drinking with two friends in the Walkabout pub in the O2 Centre.
Detectives believe he became embroiled in an argument with a woman and a group of male friends. Outside the bar, another row followed further down Finchley Road, at the junction of Fairfax Road, where a mixed group of ten people were in dispute.
Mr Misic walked away from the argument but as he stepped into the bus lane running close to Marks and Spencer he was attacked in the street and later hit by the car.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Morris said: “We know that Finchley Road was busy at the time of the final attack as a large group was watching what was happening. We would like to hear from anyone who was in this group. We would also like to hear from anyone who had been in the Walkabout pub in the O2 centre on the night of Saturday 5th February and who may have been in the Finchley Road between midnight and 1am.
“ We are also appealing to the two friends who were with Bozidar, we have not spoken to them and at this time we do not know who they are, only that they live locally, but it is vitally important that they speak to us.”
He added: “It is possible that passing drivers may have also seen what happened and might have mistaken it for a road traffic collision and we would also like to hear from any drivers who would have been on Finchley Road between midnight and 1am.”
